Complexity: simple

The chainlet is made up of a number of simple rings. Use a rectangle of paper, about 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 in proportions for each ring. You could unite rings of different colorings and sizes to receive a cheerful chainlet, which can become a remarkable decoration. Don’t forget that you can use foil paper or other fancy paper types to get charming variations.

Mountain fold the top edge of the ring, thereby locking the model. Then, flatten the layers of the ring carefully.   Here is the completed simple ring.   Take the unfinished ring, folded up to step 3. Insert it into the ready ring. Bring the side ends together and insert the left-hand end inside the right-hand one, thereby shaping the paper into a circle of the necessary size.
