Complexity: simple

The chainlet is made up of a number of simple rings. Use a rectangle of paper, about 1 x 3 or 1 x 4 in proportions for each ring. You could unite rings of different colorings and sizes to receive a cheerful chainlet, which can become a remarkable decoration. Don’t forget that you can use foil paper or other fancy paper types to get charming variations.

Begin colored side down. Valley fold the paper in half from bottom to top. Press the paper flat and unfold it.   Valley fold the top and bottom edges over to meet the middle horizontal fold-line.
  Bring the side ends together and insert the left-hand end inside the right-hand one, thereby shaping the paper into a circle of the necessary size.
