The podium for the Oriland Kingdom was 3x2 meters (composed of 4 tables draped with cloth) and was set up in the wide open area of the library with good natural lighting from huge windows. Jean Lee, head of St. James Town Branch, was very cooperative during the installation - for that we sincerely thank her. |
The main prominent sight of the show was the Sun Castle, the tall paper fairy-tale wonder (40 inches or 1 meter high), constructed from 350 pieces of paper, without using glue or cutting, and needless to say, nor was everything else presented on this origami display. |

Another conspicuous sight was the tall Sailing Ship ‘Moonlight’, 32 inches (80 cm) long and about the same high, which is folded from 350 sheets of selected papers to complement the whole boat design. The Ship is even manned with the crew of little origami people! |
The Origami land from Oriland Sea to the Castle area was settled with magicians and goblins, where they had the magic bazaar, featuring magical objects, carpers, mirrors, shoes etc. Also next to the Sea port there were magician’s whimsical houses. |

The dino-skeleton is folded from 80 sheets of paper and is 36 inches (90 cm) long. The fence is origami too, each and every stick is a piece of rolled tightly paper into a thin tube. |

Origami little people are about 3-inch (7.5-cm) high. Each paper person is folded from about 10 to 20 sheets of selected papers from napkin-like paper to foil-paper (often for shoes). |
The Oriland Museum area is filled not only with paper restorers, working on the Dinosaur display, but also many Orilanders, spending fun time at this attraction. |

Close-up view of the museum building, which is nicely decorated with floral lanterns and has Asian-styled roofs. If you look inside, you’ll see tiny furniture… chairs and a table, in this case. |
Between the Oriland Museum area and the Castle there are lovely flower gardens and of course, the Oriland Café! Orilanders love to come there and rest. Some spectators of the Oriland exhibition asked why there are no food or drinks on tables… Well, the exhibition was situated inside the library, where no food is allowed, sorry :) |

Walking from the Oriland Café toward the Castle, we find charming Flower Gardens. This is a perfect place to sit quietly and enjoy flowers and their aromas. This time of year in Oriland, there are zinnias and primroses, blooming at the same time – in paper land everything is possible! |
The most attractive of the highlights of the show was the Sun Castle with delicate arches and a sunny ornament above the door. The roundish walls are formed by paper and fastened by paper connectors, and of course, no glue or cutting. At the entrance to the Sun Castle, the Prince and Princess are heartily welcoming visitors. |

There are pathways and flower gardens around the Castle, a perfect place to meet friends. In this view you may notice an orange kitten on one of the bridges of the Castle and a black kitten at the far right-hand side. It was a challenge we proposed to many visitors to find the little kittens all over the display. So those are two of them. |
Near the entrance to Sun Castle you can find the decorative trees with fuchsia flowers. The 4-inch (7.5 cm) high Magician is waiting here for his friend to exchange ideas on the latest trends in magic science. From Exhibition Guestbook: “Thank you for this fantastic art. It enriches humanity.” |

In the foreground, there are Oriland Scouts; they are on duty near the watch tower. The Floral Alley, leading to the Magic Bazaar area is always filled with origami little people. But let’s return to the kittens, you can find the third little kitten, who’s walking on the roof of the magician house. |
The Oriland inhabitants are enjoying the conversation in the Garden. The little clown most probably told some jokes, as we can hear how they’re all laughing :) From Exhibition Guestbook: “Such a great work!!! I'm so happy to see such creative people in your library. - Anahit” |

One of the first visitors to this Oriland Exhibition was Peter Helli from Stoney Creek with his family. He was looking for the golden dragon all over the display and when he found one, exclaimed “here he is!” It turned out that Peter is a long-time Oriland.com visitor and tried to fold all the models in the Oriland Studio, including the golden dragon. And there were several more people like Peter at the exhibition. It was great to meet our virtual Oriland friends in real life but this timein Oriland surroundings! |

Magic Bazaar area: Magician’s house. The golden dragons are very friendly and live in this area too. The magicians know their language, so they can interact and learn the dragons wisdom :) |
The Orilanders are gathering near the flower garden to discuss some news from the Oriland world and to listen to the magic stories from the expert. |

Goblins are visiting the Magic Bazaar. Among the numerous goods, the Goblin-lady seems to be interested in Magic Mirrors, while her boyfriend is carrying a Magic Carpet on his shoulder and it seems thinking of new shoes :) Each goblin is 6 inches (15 cm) high and made of 17 pieces of paper. We also were happy to meet some of our Oriland.com fans at the exhibition, the new and old ones. Some of them followed Oriland from childhood and now came to the show as University students already. And some are new, who just discovered Oriland for themselves. From Exhibition Guestbook: “I love the exhibition and the best I have seen in my whole life. - Celine ” |
The Magic Bazaar is a popular place, where you can find magic carpets for all tastes, vessels, and magic mirrors, books of magic tales and treasure chests, magic slippers and much more. From Exhibition Guestbook: “You did an amazing job building the Kingdoms. This is the best origami that's done in the whole entire world. You should be really really proud of yourself. If I had a chance like this I would be very glad too!! You guys are the most creative people in the world, by not using any glue or by not doing a single cutting. I really appreciate this. Each work object in the exhibition is very detailed and you chose very right colors. It is very colorful. And also you invented paper connectors to connect every bends and colors. I'm very amazed about the techniques you used to build beautiful, attractive scene. I feel very proud to be in Canada because of you guys. You are great and creative!! Wish you a lot of sucess in the future! Really cool!! Hope you make more..... - your fan - Apsara ” |

Here you may see the last two little kittens that were hard to find at first glance. So many children and adults alike walked around the Oriland display a few times to finally find all the kittens. |
The Oriland Sea was filled with schools of fish of all kinds, among which you can see the Devil fish too. From Exhibition Guestbook: “Your exhibition was increadible! If I was trying to make that it will take me a century. Right now I'm just writing but you guys did it! ” |

Did you ever dream about traveling to dintant fairy shores in search of treasures, miracles and new adventures? Aye-aye, Captain! From Exhibition Guestbook: “This exhibit is like dream come true. This is quite amazing ” |
What would the Oriland Sea be without the Clownfish! The unmistakable characteristics of an orange clownfish reminds to many visitors of ‘Nemo’ from the animated movie “Finding Nemo’. Really, the Clownfish is one of the cutest fishes and is very popular, especially after being a star in that movie. We are glad that our Clownfish design of it is so recognizable. |

Though we did not photograph visitors, we were not able to resist capturing this cute little girl of age 5 or so, who was photographing Oriland with zeal and laughing! From Exhibition Guestbook: “Crazy! It looks so awesome I can't believe my eyes. Fantastic woork. I can stare at it forever. ”
|
From Exhibition Guestbook: “I think your exhibit was amasing! Me being an artist and absolutely adoring how you used origami, I was very impressed. Thank you for all the work you've done! So here our photo-journey around the entire Oriland exhibition, that was held in Downtown Toronto, during March Break ends. We do hope that you got the idea of What Origami Can Be! See you at our next exhibition!
