	Exhibition ORILAND Charles B. Wang Center, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA, August 1 - 8, 2007 "A mind-blowing exhibition by Yuri and Katrin Shumakov features Origami clowns and gobling, beautiful flower arrangements (Oribana) and sprawling medival castles. 	\| HALL 1 \| HALL 2 \| HALL 3 \| HALL 4 \| HALL 5 \| HALL 6 \| HALL 7 \| HALL 8 \| HALL 9 \| HALL 10 \| Oriland Exhibition The huge Oriland Exhibition of Kingdoms and Oribana was the main highlight of Origami Heaven, third Annual Origami Exhibition and Festival in Stony Brook, NY, USA, August 1 to 8, 2007. The whole event was organized by Charles B. Wang Center (Stony Brook University) and Long Island Folding Enthusiasts, recognized regional group of the OrigamiUSA. The Oriland Exhibition began on August 1 and continued until August 8th at the Wang Center. Oriland was free and open to the public, so we met lots and lots of people!

	The Charles B. Wang Center is devoted to celebration Asian and American cultures and is a part Stony Brook University, located in a beautiful place on Long Island.		Wang Center’s ambitious building has an Asian connection in its appearance outside and inside. The inner fountains and gorgeous pond with water lilies are very pleasant, especially on hot summer days.

	The main origami force behind the event was a group of Long Island Folding Enthusiasts with its founder and leader Rachel Katz and a very active member, Shrikant Iyer. It was pleasure to work with all of them as well as with Sunita Mukhi, Director of Wang Center, her assistant Jennifer and all very friendly Wang Center staff.		The exhibition room was rather large, 56 by 28 ft (17 x 8.5 meters) and well-lighted. We were able to set up an extended land with Oriland Kingdoms in the middle and Oribana arrangements in both ends of the room. So, there was a good passage for public to watch Oriland all around and Oribana flower arrangements alike.

	The Ori-land itself was 58 sq meters (or 625 sq ft) in size with outer perimeter as long as 32 meters (35 yards). On this vast expanse, we located four Oriland Kingdoms and Oriland Sea, which touched each kingdom.		Oriland Kingdoms included SunCity with the sunny-yellow castle, La Magic with the blue castle, Goblington with the tall pink castle and Papertown with the eastern-style castle. Oriland Sea, in its turn, was presented by above-water space with Sailing Ships and schools of fish, and undersea area.
