The Orliand.com website became a winner for the 2002 Cable & Wireless Childnet Award, chosen from 160 entries from 38 countries across every continent. Only 11 projects were selected as winners to receive prizes and international recognition in 4 categories, and they were brought to the Childnet Awards Event in Paris. "...A couple from Russia produce an amazing website which brings the world of origami to life for children and adults alike. ..." "...a site which uses the Internet and animation to get children folding paper and learning about the ancient art of origami is nothing short of inspired! ..."- wrote Award Judges in Childnet Award Book

Yuri and Katrin came to Paris for a wonderful awards week. The schedule was intensive; it has included a private reception of the French Minister for Families, meetings and workshops in the International school of Paris, visiting famous places of Paris and more. |
At 6.30 pm French Time on the 4th April, just off the Champs Elysee, the Award Ceremony was started. Oriland.com received the second prize at the Individual Category. Congratulations! (Photo by Howie Katz) |
