Sanguinaria, also known as ‘bloodroot’, a plant of the poppy family, has a shining white, eight-petaled, cup-shaped flower with a bright yellow center. The root of Sanguinaria contains an orange-red juice that gives the plant its name. The juice from the root was used as a body paint and dye by Native Americans. Sanguinaria is one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. The only species is Sanguinaria Canadensis, native throughout eastern and midwestern North America. The paper flower of Sanguinaria consists of two ‘Main Petals’ modules, one ‘Corolla Petals’ module and one ‘Core’ module. Also you will need a triple leaf and stalks.
