Convolvulus is any of a group of flowering plants belonging to the Convolvulaceae family (the morning-glory family). This group consists of two-hundred trailing perennials and annuals and evergreen and shrubby plants. The name Convolvulus goes from the Latin word ‘convolvere’ meaning ‘to twine’, and indeed, many convolvulus plants are upward-climbing vines. These plants are characterized by their twining stems and by their colorful funnel-shaped flowers, and usually have heart-shaped leaves. To make Convolvulus Mauritanicus, Ground Morning Glory, you will need several flowers with sepals and stalks, heart-shaped leaves and flat stalks.
